Geographic Marine Expeditions

Geographic Marine Expeditions

Geographic Marine developed as an offshoot from its parent marine research company operating across Alaska. It is our own love of exploration that drew us into the research vessel industry and that work has opened the door to many hidden and amazing places, from the Aleutian Islands to our home, Kodiak Island, and on throughout Prince William Sound and the Inside Passage. Our research cruises have varied from coastal bird and mammal surveys, to deep sea oceanography, to undersea exploration in support of marine archaeology.

In 2015 we began offering tours developed out of the best of these encounters and featuring experiences too awe-inspiring not to share. For the last two years, we’ve focused on the icy fjords of Prince William Sound. This year we are taking an emphasis on Alaska megafauna, highlighting our favorite stretch of bear country along the Katmai Coast.
